Language variation is a common sociolinguistic phenomenon that reflects differences in social background and patterns of interaction within a community. In social groups, the use of different language varieties may be influenced by factors such as age, education, social status, gender, and profession, which shape how individuals communicate with one another. This study aims to analyze the language variations used by members of the Mom’s Ceria Club in their social interactions in Dusun Cambaya. The research employed a sequential explanatory strategy with a purposive sampling technique to select participants who were actively involved in the community. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews and analyzed using descriptive analysis. The findings reveal that not all types of language variation are frequently used by the members in their daily interactions. Some variations tend to be avoided because they are considered impolite, unethical, or potentially harmful to social relationships within the group. The frequency analysis indicates that three types of language variation are predominantly used by the members, namely colloquial, basilect, and acrolect. These variations are preferred because they are perceived as more appropriate and acceptable in the context of their social communication. The study concludes that language choice among members of Mom’s Ceria Club reflects social norms and shared perceptions about politeness and appropriateness in community interactions.
