Author Guidelines

1. General Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to LINKAGE: Journal Linguistics and English Educational Knowledge must ensure that their work has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration for publication in another journal. All submitted manuscripts will undergo a peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the scope of the journal.

The journal accepts original research articles, review articles, and conceptual papers related to linguistics and English language education.

2. Scope of the Journal

Manuscripts submitted to this journal should relate to topics including, but not limited to:

  • Applied Linguistics

  • Theoretical Linguistics

  • English Language Teaching (ELT)

  • Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL/EFL)

  • Language Teaching Methodology

  • Curriculum Development in English Education

  • Language Assessment and Evaluation

  • Technology in Language Learning

  • Sociolinguistics and Pragmatics

  • Discourse Analysis

  • Contemporary Issues in English Language Education

3. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the following format:

  • Manuscripts must be written in English.

  • The length of the manuscript should be 5,000–8,000 words, including references.

  • Use Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1 line spacing.

  • Paper size: A4 with margins 2.5 cm on all sides.

  • The manuscript must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

4. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized in the following order:

Title

The title should be clear, concise, and reflect the main content of the research.

Abstract

The abstract should be written in 150–250 words, summarizing the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the study.

Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords related to the topic of the article.

Introduction

The introduction should explain the background of the study, research problems, objectives, and significance of the research.

Literature Review

This section discusses relevant theories, previous research, and the conceptual framework related to the study.

Methodology

This section explains the research design, participants, instruments, data collection procedures, and data analysis techniques.

Results and Discussion

This section presents the research findings and discusses them in relation to the research questions and relevant theories.

Conclusion

The conclusion summarizes the main findings of the research and may include recommendations for future studies.

References

All references must be written using APA Style (7th Edition) and should include only sources cited in the manuscript.

5. Citation and Referencing Style

The journal uses APA Style (7th Edition) for citations and references. Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

Example:

Book:
Brown, H. D. (2007). Principles of language learning and teaching. Pearson Education.

Journal Article:
Richards, J. C. (2015). The changing face of language learning. TESOL Quarterly, 49(3), 556–575.

6. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS). Authors must register and log in before submitting their manuscripts. The submission process includes uploading the manuscript and filling in the required metadata.

7. Review Process

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process, in which both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous. The review process evaluates the originality, relevance, methodology, and contribution of the manuscript.

8. Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts will be checked using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a similarity index higher than 20% may be rejected or returned to the author for revision.

9. Copyright Notice

Authors retain the copyright of their work while granting the journal the right to publish and distribute the article. Proper citation must be provided when the work is reused.

10. Open Access Policy

This journal provides open access to all published articles to support the global exchange of knowledge. Readers may freely read, download, and share articles for academic and educational purposes.
