ASTACITA: Journal of Bureaucracy and Public Policy is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal that provides a platform for rigorous scholarship on public administration, governance, and public policy. The journal seeks to foster critical discussion and knowledge exchange among academics, policymakers, practitioners, and students concerned with the functioning of public institutions and policy processes.
ASTACITA publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, policy analyses, and review essays that explore issues related to bureaucracy and public administration areas as follows:
Interdisciplinary approaches drawing from political science, economics, sociology, law, and public management are especially welcomed.
ASTACITA is an open access journal. All articles are made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication, allowing readers to read, download, copy, distribute, and cite the work without financial or legal barriers, provided proper attribution is given to the original authors and the journal.

ASTACITA was established to respond to the growing need for critical and evidence-based analysis of bureaucracy and public policy, particularly in the context of governance challenges in developing and transitional societies. Since its inception, the journal has aimed to promote scholarly dialogue and contribute to the improvement of public sector practice.
To ensure long-term digital preservation and accessibility, ASTACITA participates in recognized archiving systems such as LOCKSS and/or CLOCKSS, allowing libraries to preserve published content and ensure its continued availability.
